4 Day Timber-Frame Workshop

Come and participate in a community based hands-on carpentry experience in the traditional craft of Timber Framing. Through the shared use of hand tools, traditional layout methods and hard work, we will hand craft a Pavilion for Wangari Gardens, a community garden in Washington DC. This pavilion will provide the garden with shade, a space for seating and will also be used as a stage for community events. Participants will leave with basic to intermediate exposure of hand-tools, construction knowledge  and an appreciation for fine craftsmanship. Participants will also be able to help in raising the timber frame at Wangari Gardens on November 15th.

The total cost of the workshop is between $300-$500. We are offering sliding scale for this workshop, please pay what you can manage. You can secure your spot with a $200 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance will be due prior to the start of the workshop.
